The 3 days mountain gorilla habituation safari is an outstanding mountain gorilla experience safari that will take you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. Mountain gorilla habituation is the most wildlife entertaining safari giving an opportunity to individuals to take part in preparation of wild mountain gorillas to get used to people for the tourism and research purposes. Mountain gorilla habituation takes between 2 to 3 years to be completed and restricted to a small group of 4 people per day.
Day 1; Pick up from your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe or airport – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park
In the morning after your breakfast, the safaris driver guide will be ready for you to start your 3 day gorilla habituation safari drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern part of Uganda where Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is found. There shall be an en-route stop at Kayabwe Equator point for water experience and to take memorial photos to keep your memories of visiting Equator. Afterwards, continue with your driver with another stopover to have lunch from Mbarara city then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park the home to half of the world’s remaining mountain. This journey will take you through the most scenic places and Kigezi rolling hills. Upon your arrival at Rushanga tracking sector where gorilla habituation is only done, check in at your lodge to relax, dinner and an overnight.

Day 2; Bwindi impenetrable forest national park – Morning Gorilla habituation experience
Wake up early to have breakfast and drive to the park headquarters to find other people for your morning briefings regarding the dos and don’ts while with mountain gorillas during your habituation experience. After briefing, start your long time waited for mountain gorilla habituation guided forest walk under the supervision of UWA ranger guides. In the process of mountain gorilla habituation walk, you may encounter other wildlife species using this forest as their home such as several birds, other mammals including primates and when you meet the mountain gorillas, you will spend four hours following them and taking as many photos as you would want. This safari will give you an opportunity to observe how researchers undertake the process of making wild gorillas get used to people, naming of group members, making calls, collecting samples, and so much more.Later after the four hours have ended, return to your lodge to relax, dinner and an overnight.

Day 3; Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park – Return to Entebbe international airport
Today have your breakfast and leave Bwindi impenetrable forest national park for Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight or for Kampala city for an extra night. This will be the end of your 3 days mountain gorilla habituation safari in Uganda. On your way, you will have an en-route stop to have your last lunch at Igongo cultural center.
