Our 6 days Uganda safari will take you to Kidepo valley national park which was ranked third among the Africa’s supreme wilderness destinations visit. The park hosts over 80 mammal species and about 475 bird species some of them are unique to this park. Your visit to this park will give an opportunity to see 4 mammals of the big five family, visit to the Karamojong communities that are similar to the Maasai of Kenya. Visit the mighty Murchison falls national park, the Uganda’s biggest and oldest national park with a variety of wildlife species where about 76 mammals species and 451 bird species are recorded which includes; primates, many antelope species, four mammals of the big five family, other mammals such Rothschild giraffes, Warthogs and many others. You will be amazed by the wildlife sighting game drive in the park, boat cruise trip on the Victoria Nile and hiking to the top of the mighty falls. The 6 days Uganda safari will take you visit the source of the River Nile which is the longest in Africa, the spectaculars Sipi falls, Pian upe game reserve and Ziwa white rhino sanctuary for the white rhino tracking experience.

Day 1; Pick up from Entebbe international airport – Drive to Jinja City

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the English speaking driver guide from Africa Adventure vacations pick up and drive to Jinja city to check in at your reserved hotel, be briefed about your 6 Days Uganda Safari. Your journey to Jinja city, will take you through several tea and sugar cane plantations. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2; Jinja city – Visit to the source of the Nile – Drive to Sipi falls – Evening hiking to the falls and coffee plantations

Have your heavy morning breakfast check out of your hotel and visit the source of the Nile with a boat cruise from the shores to the to the exact point where the first European John Speke spotted the source of the Nile Rivers as he noticed the water separating from the Lake Victoria water. River Nile is the Africa’s longest river and second the world’s longest river following about 4000 mile journey to the Mediterranean Sea through to Sudan and Egypt. It starts from Lake Victoria with its source in Jinja which is about 2 hours’ drive from Kampala. You will be thrilled to cruise on Lake Victoria the Africa’s largest lake and exploring the Africa’s longest river. After explore the source of the river Nile, start your drive to the spectaculars sipi falls which are confidently the extreme beautiful waterfalls in Uganda consisting of 3 waterfalls that are separated by steep hillsides. The drive to sipi falls will take you through small towns and villages while seeing indigenous people doing their daily routines like raying bricks, working on coffee plantations without using modern technology. Have an en-route stop at Mbale town to have refreshments, lunch and then proceed to the Sipi falls via Kapucworwa town. On your arrival at sipi falls, drive to check in at your reserved lodge, have a short break to relax and later go to the office center for a short briefing, get a guide and then start your hike through local communities to beautiful roaring waterfalls on the foothills of Mount Elgon.  After exploring the Sipi falls, visit coffee plantations which will explore you how to process coffee powders, roasting beans, brewing and finally drinking some cups of coffee with a unique aroma. Day 3; Sipi falls – Visit to Pian upe game reserve – Drive to Kidepo valley national park

After having your fantastic breakfast, leave your lodge and drive to Kidepo valley national park with an en-route to Pian upe game reserve for a mid-morning game drive to search for some un common wildlife species others Uganda parks such as Ostriches, Gazelles, Cheetahs, wildcats, Dik-dik and many others. Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve is one of the largest wildlife conservation areas in found between Mount Elgon National park and Kidepo valley National Park. Later, continue with your drive to the Kidepo valley national park one of the must visit wildlife destinations in Africa with a number of wildlife species including both birds and mammals.

Day 4; Kidepo valley national park – Morning game drive – Evening game drive

This day after having your tasty morning breakfast, leave the lodge and head to the Park for early morning game drive to explore the park’s exciting wildlife species such as the 4 mammals of the big five mammals of the African jungle including “Lions, Leopard, herds of Buffaloes and huge Elephants”, many predators of the jungle such as spotted hyenas, bat-eared fox, striped and spotted hyena, Cheetahs, Caracal, Aardwolf and hunting dogs some of the are unique to this park, many antelope species such as Eland the biggest animal of the antelope, Bush duskier, Bushbuck,  Defassa waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, Bohor reedbuck, and oribi one of the smallest animals in the antelope family. During your game drive you will encounter others wildlife species such as Zebras, Giraffes, Warthogs and over 5 primate species like patas monkeys which are the fastest on the ground plus many bird species such as the flightless Ostriches and others. Return to your lodge to have refreshments, lunch and return to the park for your evening game drive basically to search for the predators of the park  such as Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, stripped hyenas, hunting dogs and many others which will give you an unforgettable wildlife experience in Uganda. Day 5; Kidepo valley national park – Karamojong community tour – Transfer to Murchison falls national park

Enjoy your morning breakfast, checkout and visit the Manyatta families of the Karamojong communities which are living primitive life style like without of modern technology, staying in temporary houses, pastoralism farming and unique art and craft with indigenous dressing style. Your local guide will narrate for you interesting stories about their life and later cultural entertainments by the women groups which is so interesting and unique in its style. After your interesting community tour, have a short break to relax and embark on your drive to Murchison falls national park. Murchison falls national park is found in the Northwester Uganda, the oldest and one of the most visited national park with the mighty “Murchison falls” which are said to be the world’s strongest falls. Murchison falls national park is a home to over 76 mammal such as the huge Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, prides of healthy Lions, the shy Leopards, Rothschild giraffes, Warthogs, Jackson hartebeest, Uganda Kobs, many primates including Chimpanzees our closest relatives with 98.8% human DNA, many aquatic mammals like the huge hippopotamus plus about 451 recorded bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 6; Murchison falls national park – Morning game drive – Afternoon boat cruise – Evening hike to the top of the falls

On this day wake up very in the early to have breakfast and setoff for your adventurous morning game drive on the northern sector of the park. During your game drive, you will encounter numerous wildlife species such as many antelope species, Lions, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Warthogs, huge Elephants, Olive baboons and many others and your guide will be able to give as much information as possible which will make your game drive so interesting. You have to keep your camera well charged and on standby not to miss any moment uncaptured. After your half days game drive, go to your lodge to have refreshments, lunch and then the driver take you for your afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. During your boat cruise trip, you will be able to see various species of water animals and birds such as the hippopotamuses, Nile, the colored kingfishers and many others. May see other land mammals on the shores when they have come to drink water and swimming such as Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Elephants, Buffaloes etc. The boat cruise will take you few meters to the bottoms which will give you a breathtaking view of the falls. Disembark from the boat cruise to start your hike to the top of the falls to witness what happiness to the peaceful River Nile on its way to Mediterranean Sea when it is going through a small rocky gorge of about 7 meters wide and dropping over 43 meters which makes water get crazy with a hard hitting of the ground causing a thunderous roar sound which gives a magnificent view of the fall and worth to have a memorial photo. Then drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 7; Murchison falls national park – Morning game drive – Drive to Ziwa  rhino sanctuary for the rhino experience – Drive back to Entebbe international airport

This day after having your hot breakfast, check out of your lodge and then go for another morning game on the northern side of the park to search for more wildlife species especially those that you could have missed during your previous game drives basically the big predators of the park. After your game drive, cross the river and drive to Ziwa rhino sanctuary the home to the white rhinos for rhino experience. Ziwa rhino sanctuary is the only place where you can encounter rhino in the wilderness in Uganda after they were massively pouched in the 1970s during civil wars that led to their extinction in the wild. Rhinos are one of the big five mammals of the African Jungle. On your arrival at Ziwa rhino sanctuary, you will be warmly welcomed by the site local guide to be briefed about the rules and regulations to follow during rhino experience and then start your adventurous walk to meet rhinos which will give you a chance to discover them close to their feet and you will be free to take as many photos as you would want. After rhino experience, return to starting point to have relax, have refreshments, lunch and then embark on your drive back to Entebbe international airport for your return flight with an unforgettable wildlife memories.
