The trip itself was fantastic: apart from amazing places we visited, the tour was well organized with fine accommodation, food and above all an excellent birding guide named Arshely Brian. Arshely was absolutely fabulous - exceptionally knowledgable about not only birds, but also other wildlife and flora. He made sure we were well taken care of. And he was fun to hang out with too. So all in all, both tour agency and guide are highly recommended.

We're just back from our honeymoon in Uganda. We'd been planning our honeymoon for about a year through African Adventure Vacations. Robert was great at suggesting an itinerary and customising... Our guide Frank (who we highly recommend asking for) met us at the airport and from that point on was our expert guide (and fixer) to the country. He is really passionate and knowledgeable about Uganda and did a fantastic job in spotting all the wildlife whilst driving us around. He even managed to spot us the Big Five on our first day's game drive.

The hotels / camps suggested were all of a high quality. We enjoyed the variety of different styles of accommodation.

Highlight of the trip was definitely seeing the Mountain Gorilla's in Bwindi. Frank used his connections to set us up with a great family group of gorilla's that had two silverbacks (very unusual!) and two infants. It was such an amazing experience.

The whole trip was out of this world and lived up to all my hopes and dreams (I've dreamt of going to Uganda since I was a kid). It's given us so many amazing memories to last a lifetime.

I would definitely recommend African Adventure Vacations as an operator and 100% ask for Frank as a guide! We felt very lucky indeed!

He was so knowledgeable about life in Uganda and patiently answered our many questions. He shared his love for his country with us and worked tirelessly to make sure that we saw lions, giraffes, zebras, leopards, and elephants to our hearts content. Highlights were our treks with the chimpanzees and mountain gorillas. We had never experienced anything as awe-inspiring as those visits. The lodgings were beautiful and always very accommodating. The food in the hotels and on the road we always tasty with a lot of choice to accommodate all diets. Our family felt very privileged and inspired to participate in this trip with African Adventures Vacations. Thanks to Robert and Caesar!

My girlfriend and I decided to go on a 2-day safari after a recommendation from my sister who had gone on the same trip. Although it was only a 2-day... Read more safari, we saw everything we could've hoped for (We were a little lucky); a lion, giraffes, a leopard, a hyena, hippos, elephants, and much more. The included boat trip was great, likewise was the visit to the Murchison waterfalls themselves. For a first safari, it was everything and more of what we hoped it would be! It is also worth mentioning that we got picked up from and later dropped off at our place of residence in Kampala, which was incredibly convenient.

My sister also recommended Musafa as a guide; something we also highly recommend! He went above and beyond to ensure we saw as much on our trip as possible and gave us great insight into all the animals. Furthermore, during meals and in the car, he also taught us a great deal about Ugandan culture. Musafa was as funny and passionate as one could hope for in a guide.

All in all, we simply have nothing bad to say about our trip - though be prepared for a few mosqitoues in the evening and early morning.

Our family spent almost 2 weeks in Uganda and there was not a better organization than Africa Adventure Vacation. Always respectful from dealing with the office staff to the field...
