Our 4 days Gorilla trekking safari in Uganda will take you to visit the most famous National Parks in Uganda “Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park” for the breathtaking gorilla trekking adventure. Mountain gorilla trekking is one of the most impressive wildlife experience in Africa.
Day 1; Pick up from Entebbe International airport – Transfer to Kampala city
On your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be warmly welcomed by company representative and your driver guide and transfer you to your reserved overnight hotel in Kampala for briefing about your gorilla trekking safari, dinner and an overnight.
NB; if time enables us, your driver guide will take you for an evening drive around Kampala to visit the most historical places within and outside the city such as Twekobe Kabaka’s palace and Amin torture chambers, Old Kampala mosque, Namugongo martyrs’ shrines, The Uganda national museum, Bahai temple, Twekobe palace and local vendors’ market to get fresh fruits.
Day 2; Kampala city – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park
Early in the morning have breakfast and meet your driver guide to embark on your road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the exciting gorilla trekking. Your drive will take you to south western Uganda where Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park is located. On your way, you will have an en-route stop at the equator point for an exciting water experiment and to take memorial photos then proceed with the journey for another stop for lunch in Mbarara city thereafter, drive to check in an your reserved lodge to relax, dinner and an overnight.

Day 3; Morning Mountain Gorilla Trekking– Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
On this day after your early morning breakfast, go to the Park headquarters for you will be briefings by the UWA ranger guide regarding what to do and not to do during gorilla trekking and how to behave once you have met the giant mountain gorillas. After that, start your gorilla trekking walk with help of your UWA ranger guide to look out for the mountain gorillas. The walk will comprise of hiking up and down through muddy paths so, being physically fit will be very important for a successful gorilla trekking safari but if you are not physically fit, you can use the local porter help you to carry your luggage and other belongings. In the course of mountain gorilla trekking, you may encounter other wildlife species like large and small mammals such as Elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs, primates like chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, many bird and tree species. Once you encounter mountain gorillas, you will have 1 full hour of watching and photographing as many photos as you would want to keep memories. After enjoying a full hour of watching mountain gorilla, return to the park information center to pick your trekking certificate, have lunch, refreshments and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi to relax while canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and bird watching. Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi – Return to Kampala city/ Entebbe international
Have breakfast and go for a morning boat cruise on this Lake Bunyonyi that will take you to visit several islands on this Lake to know the story behind each one of them take such as the Akampene (Punishment Island) where the Kiga took their unmarried girls that they found pregnant before marriage to punish them to death. You will have your one private motorized canoe and guide which will make your tour so interesting. Lake Bunyonyi is said to be the second deepest lake in Africa and deepest in Uganda and the best place to rest after the magical gorilla trekking safari. After your amazing boat riding safari on lake, embark on your return journey to Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight with great experience of 4 Days gorilla trekking safari in Uganda. Or you may decide to spend extra night in Kampala or Entebbe.
