Gorilla filming permits in Uganda
The Uganda commercial gorilla filming permits cost $4200 per hour and at the end of the gorilla filming you can get a refund of $100 only if you give a copy of your CD to the Uganda wildlife authority and this copy can be used for marketing Uganda mountain gorillas. Gorilla filming permits can be obtained from the Uganda wildlife authority in Kampala or any trusted tour operator. You are advised to book these permits 3-4 months in advance most especially if you want to carry out the filming in the dry season.
Potters are always available at the park headquarters to help you carry luggage for a small fee.
Best time to film mountain gorillas in Uganda
Mountain gorilla filming in Bwindi impenetrable forest and Mgahinga gorilla national park in Uganda can be done at any time of the year but most journalists and film crew members prefer going to these parks for gorilla filming during the dry season when the rain is little. The dry season happens from June to September and December to February and during this time the roads leading to the park are accessible and the terrains are dry
