Our safari highlights
The Serengeti National Park, the best park in Africa, is the focal point of this moderately long safari in Tanzania. The Serengeti National Park has boundless savannah plains where millions of species live and has been awarded as the best park in Africa across several categories. This huge wilderness, which is over 14,743 km2 in size and is a famous location for wildlife safaris in Africa, is home to both big and small animals. As a Big Five location, the Serengeti National Park offers visitors the chance to see all five of Africa’s Big Five: elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos, in addition to a wide variety of other species and birds. The legendary Great Migration’s wildebeest herds spend the majority of their time on the Serengeti; they only migrate to Kenya between August and October. You will also see the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the few UNESCO world heritage sites, in addition to the Serengeti. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area just became home to the first geopark in East Africa, making it one of the world’s biosphere reserves as well (NCA).

Another great season to travel is from November to December, when the parks are lush and lovely but the weather is considerably cooler. Day 1. Transfer to Arusha Domestic Airport for a flight to Serengeti National Park.
On the first day of your 6-day luxury safari adventure in Tanzania, a representative will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or, if you are arriving early, from Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will then be transported to Arusha Domestic Airport, where you will board a flight to the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, your safari guide will welcome you to the airfield, and the adventure in the Serengeti starts right away! The rest of the day will be spent scouring the huge Serengeti plains for big cats and other large and small animals. The word Siringit, which means infinite plains in Masai, is where the term Serengeti originates. You will be driven to your lodge or camp in the center of the Serengeti late in the afternoon, where you can unwind, eat dinner, and spend the night. Spend the night at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. Also included are lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park
If you don’t mind getting up early, you can choose to go on a sunrise safari on the second day of your safari vacation in Tanzania. In addition to providing a rare opportunity to see certain nocturnal species leaving after a night of hunting, early morning safari game drives also tend to have more animals out and about because it’s still early and the sun isn’t yet too scorching. Another option is to have a hearty meal in the morning and then leave the camp with a lunchbox so that you can spend the entire day in the bush looking for animals. The Serengeti is one of the best places in the world for wildlife safaris thanks to its more than 14,000 km2 of natural beauty. The Big 5 of Africa, as well as the wildebeest migration and the big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs), may all be found in the Serengeti. With a little bit of luck, it’s possible to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, zebras, giraffes, impalas, gazelles, topis, hartebeests, jackals, and hyenas.
The list goes on and on! With more than 500 bird species reported, both migratory and non-migratory, the Serengeti is also a birder’s paradise. Because the safari is a private vacation and thus quite flexible, you will spend these two days going on safari game drives at your speed. Make sure to talk about your plans for the following day with your knowledgeable safari guide in the evening. We will return to the camp later in the afternoon for the evening campfire, food, and overnight stay. Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. Lunch and dinner are included.
Day 3: Drive from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
This morning, after breakfast at your lodge or camp, you will leave the Serengeti and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area while taking in the surrounding wildlife. You will make a brief halt at the Naabi Hill Gate to register before entering the NCA. You will arrive at your lodge on the crater rim, where you may unwind, have dinner, and spend the night. Optional Activities If you want to understand more about the culture of the well-known Masai tribe, you can visit one of their villages on the way to the Ngorongoro Highlands. You get a unique opportunity to learn a few things about their way of life, customs, and traditions thanks to this. You can also go to the Olduvai Gorge, a museum-equipped archaeological site where Dr. Luis and Mary Leakey found the fossils of the hominid they dubbed Zinjanthropus boisei (later reclassified as Paranthropus boisei). The Highlands at Ngorongoro, Lion’s Paw Lodge, Lemala Ngorongoro Camp, and the luxury Ngorongoro Crater Lodge all provide upgrades. Some of Karatu’s top luxury resorts, including The Manor at Ngorongoro, Oldeani Mountain Lodge, and the magnificent Gibb’s Farm, are accessible from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Spend the night at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Included are all meals.
Day 4 &5. Experience wildlife in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
This morning, have an early breakfast or leave with a picnic breakfast to reach the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater as soon as possible. In particular, during the busy months of July to September, the earlier we descend, the greater our chances are of avoiding crowds. However, doing so also gives us a better chance to see more animals before the heat becomes too hot. You will begin your full day of animal safari game drives as you reach the crater floor, and they will last until it is time for a picnic lunch at the picnic area beside the hippo pool.
Because of the large number of easily observed and up-close animals and birds, Ngorongoro Crater is frequently referred to as the Garden of Eden. You might be able to see all five on the same day if you’re lucky. The floor of the Ngorongoro Crater is thought to be home to around 30.000 species of wildlife, including both large and small animals. The Ngorongoro Crater’s Lake Makat, which is located in the center of the lake, guarantees a steady supply of water, and the lake’s shoreline makes for excellent game viewing. You will return to your lodge or camp later in the afternoon for some downtime and an overnight stay. The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge offers lodging. Included are all meals.

Visit lake Manayara National Park for lion trekking
Day 6: Lake Manayara National Park, followed by a flight back to Arusha or Zanzibar.
The final day of your six-day luxury safari tour in Tanzania will begin with a leisurely breakfast before you check out and head to the Manyara Airstrip to board your aircraft back to Arusha or Zanzibar via Arusha. Your safari will come to an end when you are picked up from the Arusha Airport and driven back to your accommodation in Arusha town.
