14-Day Honeymoon Safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar Beach Holiday
14-Day Honeymoon Safari is one of our longest Tanzania wildlife tours that is combined with the holiday beach at Zanzibar. This has become one of the best. Honeymoon trips are for the first visitors that you will ever take to the African continent. A wildlife safari in Northern Tanzania followed by some relaxation in Zanzibar, Tanzania’s semi-autonomous archipelago, is one of the most popular honeymoon itineraries among newlyweds who travel to Africa. The most memorable way to spend your honeymoon is probably on our 14-day safari in Tanzania and on the beaches of Zanzibar.
Due to popular demand, we have expanded our 12-day honeymoon package to a romantic 14-day itinerary in Tanzania. This trip will leave the newlyweds with lasting memories for the rest of their lives. The safari typically begins with arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (we also arrange domestic flights for people flying into Dar es Salaam or Nairobi), and the following 7 days are spent taking advantage of nature’s best creations by visiting the best parks in Northern Tanzania and savoring the region’s abundance and diversity of flora and fauna. The safari includes excursions to the national parks of Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti, where you might be fortunate enough to see the wildebeest migration, which is extremely interesting and wonderful. So you don’t need to miss this great safari.
The one-of-a-kind African honeymoon experience is then carried on with a flight from Arusha to the island of Zanzibar, where you will spend the remaining days lounging on the famed “Spice Islands'” white beaches. You can travel to the less popular Pemba or Mafia Islands, or even the well-known Seychelles, upon special request.
Day 1. Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
To welcome you to Tanzania, our safari planner, together with our guide, will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport today. He will personally transport you there in a spotless private vehicle, where you will check-in and unwind for the remainder of the day. Pre-safari briefings can be completed en route or once at the lodge. The meal is free. Ilboru Safari Lodge offers a midrange lodge, while Lake Duluti Lodge offers luxury accommodation.

A game drive in Tarangire National Park
Day 2. Drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive.
After breakfast, your safari driver will pick you up from the lodge and transport you, about two hours from Arusha, to Tarangire National Park. When you get there, your safari guide will help you with the registration procedures before you go on your first game drive in Tarangire National Park, which is renowned for being home to vast elephant herds and a variety of other creatures, both small and large. When animals return to Tarangire to drink the park’s precious water, they become victims of the predators who have set up ambushes nearby, making for magnificent animal action every time. Tarangire also has a seasonal Tarangire River, which serves as the park’s lifeblood. You can anticipate seeing sizable herds of elephants, lions, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, and many more animals, possibly even uncommon ones like the long-necked gerenuks and oryxes. Game drives in the Tarangire will fill your day up until later in the afternoon, when you’ll check into a lodge or camp for dinner and the night. Included are all meals. You can stay at the Tarangire Baobab Camp (midrange) or the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge (luxury).
Day 3. Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area-Game Drive in the Crater.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel or campsite, you depart for the Ngorongoro Crater. After a fascinating journey across the Great Rift Valley and up its breathtaking escarpments with breathtaking views below, we will stop briefly at the Loduare Gate for registration before continuing to the rim of the crater for breathtaking views of the crater floor and a brief photo opportunity. After that, we will enter the Crater for a full day of famed drives at the bottom of the Crater. Since Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact caldera and its 600-meter walls serve as a natural barrier for wildlife, you can expect to see a lot of wildlife up close. With a little luck, you might see many species, including the Big Five (elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos), on the Crater Floor, which has the largest concentration of animals per area. We will drive up the crater rim in the late afternoon to check into a resort or adjacent tent camp in the NCA or Karatu for the night. Included are all of the day’s meals. Marera Valley Lodge offers budget accommodation (in Karatu) and Lion’s Paw Camp offers luxurious lodging.
Day 4. Transfer from Ngorongoro-Serengeti National Park
Your honeymoon safari in Tanzania starts after breakfast at your lodge with a drive to the Serengeti National Park via the Naabi Hill Gate. The rest of the day will be spent exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti in search of the local wildlife and birdlife after registration at the gate. The best section of African plains for game drives is the Serengeti, as its Masai name suggests. Zebras, giraffes, elephants, topis, impalas, hartebeests, jackals, pangolins, and an indefinite number of other animals reside in the park. Later in the afternoon, we make reservations for dinner, the night, and the much-desired open campfire at a lodge or tented camp. Included are all meals. Hippo Trails Camp offers budget-friendly accommodation, and Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge offers luxurious accommodation (with a swimming pool on-site).
Day 5 and 6: A full day of wildlife viewing in the Serengeti National Park.
If you want to see some of the nocturnal animal species as they wind down from a night of hunting, you should consider taking an early morning game drive in the Serengeti. After breakfast, the rest of the day will be dedicated to further exploring the Serengeti National Park’s vast plains. Your ranger will show you the ideal spots to see both resident species and the Great Wildebeest migration herds, which congregate in various parts of the park throughout the year depending on when you visit the Serengeti. You might even get to see wildebeests cross the Mara River as they head to Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of richer pastures and water, depending on the time of your trip and your level of luck. You will stay in a lodge or camp for two nights during these two full days of wildlife viewing in the expansive Serengeti grasslands. Included are all meals. Hippo Trails Camp offers budget-friendly accommodation and Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge offers luxurious accommodations (with a swimming pool on-site).
Day 7. Leaving Serengeti National Park, we fly to Zanzibar.
You will check out of the camp or lodge after breakfast and travel with game drives to the closest airstrip in the Serengeti to catch a flight to the island of Zanzibar. When you arrive in Zanzibar, a representative from our company will welcome you and transport you to the ideal hotel for a romantic getaway. A budget hotel is the Pongwe Beach Hotel (Sea View Suites), and the Zuri Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar offers luxury accommodation (Ocean Front Suite).

Enjoy the coo night breeze of Zanzibar beach on a honey moon
Day 8–13. Beach holiday enjoyments in Zanzibar.
It’s time to enjoy some quality time at one of the world’s top beaches. You will unwind throughout these days at the beach hotel that has been specifically chosen to meet the needs of newlyweds. Depending on your interests, our travel specialists can organize any additional activities or tours, such as visits to a spice plantation, Stonetown, a dolphin tour, Prison Island, or the Jozani Forest. Other excursions that can be scheduled include the safari blue or a sunset dhow trip. Booking for one night at a beach hotel that includes breakfast and dinner is known as “half board.” A budget hotel is the Pongwe Beach Hotel (Sea View Suites), and the Zuri Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar offers luxury accommodation (Ocean Front Suite).
Day 14. End of the safari
Depending on your schedule, you will be taken to the airport in Zanzibar for your trip back home after breakfast at the hotel (check-out time is at 10:00 am). A day room can be added at an additional fee. Your two-week honeymoon trip to Tanzania comes to an end at the beach in Zanzibar. If you’re flying out of a different airport than Zanzibar, we can always set up the necessary domestic connections and transfers.
