This 3 Day experience to Murchison falls safari will take you to Uganda’s largest park for an amazing game drive and Boat cruise on river Nile. The most fascinating of all the activities is the hike to the top of the falls where the view turns out to be breath taking
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala with a stop over to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park for about 5 hours. Driving through the beautiful view of flat landscapes of central Uganda through the district of Nakasongora that’s before branching off at Nakitooma for 7km then, connect to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Upon arriving in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you’ll embark on a thrilling White Rhino tracking the count of fifteen southern white Rhinos that comprise of the adults and young ones. Rhinos are part of the big five of land animals and exploring them on foot is a rewarding encounter that you can explore on this Uganda safari encounter. Continue on the drive to Murchison, arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight pakuba safari lodge
Day 2:Game drive and boat cruise.
Having had breakfast, you will embark on a game drive in the North. The National Park wildlife includes giraffes, elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, water bucks, vervet monkeys, Olive Baboons, Patas monkey, Jackson’s Hartebeest and lions. After the magical experience, connect to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. The afternoon will come and you’ll embark on the afternoon Nile launch cruise departing at 2 pm at paraa jetty. And there is a great opportunity to view hippos, crocodiles, plus birds at the river banks such as the bee-eater, kingfisher, the rare shoe bill stork plus the cormorants. Return from the 2 hour activity and connect to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at pakuba safari lodge.
Day 3: Visiting the mighty falls and transfer back to Kampala.
After breakfast cross with the ferry to the southern section of the park after which you will connect to the top of the falls which is the greatest natural landmark to ever happen on the Nile River on its course to Mediterranean Sea. The Murchison Falls stand as the powerful water fall in the world and it is impressive to encounter the Nile River squeezing itself to pass through a less than seven meters ravine before 43m below to what has been termed as the Devil’s Cauldron forming a plume of Spray and trade mark rain bow. You retreat from the encounter embark on the transfer back to Kampala with the views of River Kafu en route.
