Menengai Crater as the adamant volcano; When we tell of the Menengai Crater, we mean the volcanic mountain which was formed during the volcanic activity and through the process of vulcanicity. The Crater is located in the rift valley in Kenya with close to other volcanoes such as Mount Longonot which is only 60 kilometers away from the Menengai Crater.  The only difference here is that Menengai Crater is dormant and therefore it can erupt any time in the future however other volcanoes are totally extinct

To some of the communities around, the Menengai Crater has been used as the places where they go and pray to God even some do travel for a long distance and come to the Menengai Crater just to pray to God and others spend some time fasting  which they believe can help them to improve their relationship with God

Also, some of the activities although it is very wonderful and attractive to the visitors, however, this is not the case to some of the communities as they believe that the Crater is dominated by demons literally meaning the Kirima Kya Ngoma and this has caused several tales to exists and how the mountain is haunted by the spirits that are claimed to have died or killed within the area.  Some of the locals claim that some people have committed suicide because of the demons believed to be associated with the mountains.
