Murchison Falls National Park: Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest national park, covering 3,840 square kilometers. It was designated a national park in 1952 and is well-known for its diverse fauna and Murchison Falls, the world’s most powerful waterfall. This Ugandan national park spans five districts: Nuwoya, Masindi, Pakwaku, Kiryandongo, and Bulisa. Murchison Falls National Park is home to 76 animal species and 451 bird species. It is home to around 375 bird species, 70 mammal species, and 13 primate species, the most famous of which is the chimp. It was established as a national park in 1932 and encompasses the majority of the Kibale Forest. It is a national park that is home to over 1,000 different bird and mammal species. Visitors to Kibale National Park can engage with chimps, go birdwatching, hiking, on guided nature walks, and take cultural and community visits. Forest elephants, bushbucks, sitatunga, buffalo, duiker, chimps, olive baboons, roast monkeys, colobus monkeys, velvet monkeys, and other primates are among the wildlife.

The national park was formed in 1993 and covers an area of 220 square kilometers. The park is home to approximately 53 animal species and over 441 bird species. It has a total of 19 habituated gorilla groups, with only 15 of them accessible to tourists. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was established in 1991 in Kanungu District, southwestern Uganda, and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. The park is home to around 400 plant species and over 350 bird species, 23 of which are indigenous to the Albertine Rift Valley region. With a succession of high slopes and valleys, it is also the source of five major rivers that pour into Lake Edward. Mount Elgon National Park: Mount Elgon National Park is located in the districts of Kapchorwa and Mbale in eastern Uganda. It was designated a national park in 1968 and has an area of 1,121 square kilometers. Climbing Mount Elgon, trekking to Sipi Falls, bird watching, cultural/community visits, rock climbing, camping, nature walks, and mountain biking are among the activities available to visitors in the national park. Visitors to Mount Elgon National Park can stay in the following lodges: Suam Guesthouse, Kapkwai Bandas, Moroto Bandas, Pian-Upe Wilderness Camp, and Guest House.
