Nasolot National Reserve

Nasolot National Reserve is one of the impressive reserves that is so much rugged and it is found within the rift valley province west of the Pakot district north of the mount Meru just 528 kilometers northwestern of Kenya’s capital Nairobi and  it was established and gazetted as the national reserve in 1979 covering an area of about 92 square kilometers.

Tourists interested in visiting the Nasolot National Reserve will have to cover the 146-kilometer journey north of the Kitale in the West Pokot District within the rift valley province. This reserve is 528 kilometers northwest of Nairobi city and one gets to Nasolot National Reserve using both air and water transport. By road is found at the six kilometers via the A1 main road the chartered or scheduled domestic aircraft are available from Nairobi especially at the Wilson airstrip and then to Turkwel dam strip or Kaputirr airstrip and then link to the reserve for various leisure activities.
