Amboseli National Park gates: Known as the home to the African elephants, Amboseli national park is surrounded by the Kilimanjaro Mountains on the one side of the Tanzania boundary and it is among the popular national park that is found not only in Kenya but in the whole of the African continent. The Amboseli national park gets its name from the local Masai Mara local people called the salt dust and therefore this is one of the wonderful places or national parks where you can easily spot the large herds of the elephants in the Amboseli National Reserve.

The detailed Amboseli national park gates include the following;

Kitirua gate of Amboseli National Park:  This is one of the gates used by the guests to enter and exit the Amboseli national park.  The Gate is found within the southwestern part of the park within the semi-arid areas showing the clear views of the Kilimanjaro mountains nearby. The gate got its name from the Kitirua hill that is located at the border of the park in the southwestern part. Here you can clear your entrance fees and get in and out of the park and you can also get any information that you need to know from the park rangers who are always at this park gate.  In case you need the services of the ranger guide, you can also hire him from here and it can be accessed through the Nairobi Namanga road and this is mostly used by the guests whenever Kenya from the republic of Tanzania.

Iremito Gate of Amboseli National Park: This is one of the 5  Amboseli national park gates that guests can also use to enter and leave the Amboseli National Park. Unlike the Kitirua, Iremito gate is found in the eastern part of the Amboseli national park just at the border and it is where the Kenyan wildlife services offices are found. The gate has got more facilities that include the wash bins, ranger posts, information center, and clean flash toilets among other facilities. The lodges feature the nearby lodges that serve the gates with the lodging facilities serving meals and proving relaxing nights. Cashless system of payment is well facilitated here and thus visitors using this gate will be able to use the cashless payment system. Only 5 hours from Nairobi you will be able to access this wonderful park by following the Nairobi-Mombasa road through Emali road. The fate can only be accessed by road with no nearby airstrip nearby this gate.

Meshanana gate of Amboseli National Park: This is also a gate that allows in and out guests exploring the Amboseli national park. The visitors are cleared here before entering the park and there is a cashless system of payment where you will be allowed to pay using a credit card and no cash is allowed here.  There are also other facilities here that include the refreshing center, the ranger posts, and clean public toilets, among others. The park lies in the Northwestern part of the Amboseli national park and from the Namanga border, this is the nearest gate and it can be accessed through the Nairobi-Arusha road.

Kimana Gate of Amboseli National Park: This is one of the busiest Amboseli national park gates that receive heavy visitors compared to other national park gates. This park is located on the south-Eastern side of the park and one can easily get to the gate by road transport. The gate is fully developed with all the furnished facilities since it is one of the oldest gates of the Amboseli National Park. It is close to the park headquarters and the road leading to the park is very good. Visitors will need to drive for about five minutes from the park Amboseli Park headquarters and the visitors can clear their park duties and visitors can easily engage the management of the park.

Therefore, visitors can access either of the Amboseli National Park gated depending on the side where the tour coming from and all these gates are open from morning to evening.
