The 5 Day Lodge Safari Tour in Tanzania takes you not only to the most famous wildlife locations, such as Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, but also to Tarangire National Park, which is probably Africa’s capital of elephants and baobab trees. The journey concludes with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, which is noted for its tree-climbing lions, beautiful flamingos, and a variety of other animals and birds. Tarangire National Park is famed for having the largest herds of elephants in Africa, often numbering in the hundreds, as well as the huge Baobab trees. This safari covers Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous wildlife area, and the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, widely known as the world’s eighth wonder.

The package is a lodge safari package, and we have included midrange lodges and tented camps, but the same package can be customized to include staying in standard luxury lodges, deluxe lodges with more luxurious amenities, or even top-market/high-end lodging, depending on your budget and preference. If you want to save even more money, we can use cheaper budget lodging. For a more adventurous experience, check out our Tanzania camping safari packages. Check in at Africa Adventure Vacations for this great safari.

Day 1: Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park.

In the morning, depart Arusha to start your 5 Day Lodge Safari Tour in Tanzania with a drive through the Masai Steppe to Makuyuni, then down to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third largest, is filled with astonishingly massive Baobab trees and spectacular herds of elephants; Tarangire is a must-see on every African safari to Tanzania. Many animal species, including rare breeds such as the Oryx and hirolas, as well as unique bird species, live in the park. After a successful wildlife drive in Tarangire, you will be transferred to Karatu, where you will check into a lodge for dinner and sleep. Stay at Marera Valley Lodge, Country Lodge, or Pamoja Africa Farm Lodge for the night. All meals are provided.

Day 2. From Karatu to Serengeti National Park.

This morning, your 5-day Tanzania safari continues with a journey to the Serengeti. We had to get up early because the drive was very long, and after an early breakfast at the lodge, we were off to Tanzania’s most popular game park. The Serengeti National Park is home to endless plains. We can make a brief stop (at an additional expense) in the Olduvai Gorge, an important prehistoric site where Dr. Leakey and his wife Mary discovered fossils, leading to the hypothesis that Africa is the Cradle of Humanity. We enter the Serengeti through the Naabi Gate and continue game viewing in the afternoon on our journey to either the Osinon Serengeti Camp or the Central Serengeti.

Day 3. Consists of a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park.

The entire day is spent driving across the Serengeti grasslands, looking for animals. The driver will be in contact with other drivers via the VHF radios installed on all of our vehicles, so you can expect to see a lot of animal behavior. Predators killing, predators chasing, and antelopes fleeing for their lives are the norm on the Serengeti, and if you’re lucky, you’ll leave with a story to tell. The Serengeti is famed for its diverse animal species, both huge and small. You can expect to witness elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, topis, hyenas, cheetahs, and, if you’re lucky, black rhinos. We return to the Osinon Serengeti Camp in Central Serengeti later in the afternoon before dark for some unforgettable campfire time. Dinner and sleeping in the camp.

Day 4. Morning Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater.

On this day, we’ll visit the Ngorongoro Crater, also known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” We will descend to the floor upon arrival for a full day of wildlife drives, stopping momentarily for lunch by the hippo poolside picnic location. We will observe elephants and try our luck at spotting leopards on game drives around Elerai Forests, improving our chances of spotting the Big Five in one day. We’re virtually certain to see lions and buffalo, so why not look for cheetahs as well? We travel up the Crater Rim later in the day and check into the Rhino Lodge for a cup of coffee before dinner and overnight.

You will take a picturesque drive along the Great Rift Valley Escarpment to the Gate of Lake Manyara National Park, where you will register for park access. Lake Manyara National Park is a rich green gem of a park that includes lush green woods, woodlands, savannah plains, and the lake itself, which is home to hippos, flamingos, egrets, cormorants, and Egyptian geese. a fragment of the birdsManyara is well known for its famed tree climbing trees, but it also has large herds of buffalo, elephants, impalas, duikers, giraffes, zebras, baboon and monkey groups, and many other creatures. Breakfast will be given at one of the picnic areas in Lake Manyara National Park, and after enough game drives in the park, you will be driven back to Arusha, where your 5 Day Lodge Safari Tour in Tanzania will come to a conclusion.

If you choose, you can combine this journey with a beach vacation in Zanzibar. We only need to know whether you want to stay in a premium, mid-range, or budget beach resort, and we’ll create a full package for you that includes both bush and beach.
