Trekking mountain gorillas in the dry season

The dry season has always been the best time for mountain gorilla trekking because the weather is dry with little or no rainfall. The trekking trails are not slippery and muddy and the vegetation is very thin making it easy to spot mountain gorillas and take good quality photos. The roads leading to these national parks are very passable during this time.

Gorilla trekking requires hiking therefore participants need to be physically fit hence this makes trekking during the rainy season very hectic with muddy and slippery trails that make the jungle hard to traverse.

Uganda and Rwanda happen to have the dry season at the same time from June to September and December to February. The same season is the best to visit wildlife national parks for game viewing apart from gorilla trekking.
