Lake Mburo National park has a wide area of wetland and providing habitat to numerous wildlife species mammals such as Impalas, Zebras, Topis, Giraffes and Caped buffaloes, the shy Elands etc. The park is also a paradise to bird lovers with a big population of different bird species including the rare Shoe bill stork. Lake Mburo national park is the only place where Impala can meet impalas and big population of Zebras in Uganda.

Day 1: Pickup from Entebbe International Airport – Drive to Kampala city – Evening city tour

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative and your driver guide for pick up and transfer to your reserved hotel in Kampala city for check in, briefing about your 4 Days Lake Mburo national park Uganda Safari. If time allows after your briefing, you will go for Kampala evening city tour to explore the most historical sites in the city such as the Kabaka’s palace (Twekobe) and Amin torture chambers, Old Kampala mosque and Nakasero local vendors market and the Uganda national museum then return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight.

Day 2; Kampala city – Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening guide nature walk

After your morning breakfast, check out and embark on your drive to Lake Mburo National park with an en-route stop at the Equator landmark to observe water experiment and taking a memorial photo while standing in both northern and southern hemispheres at the same time. Later, continue with your drive south of the Equator landmark through the savannah grasslands dotted, several farms of local long horned Ankole cattle and many banana plantations. Upon your arrival at the park, check in at your booked lodge to relax, have lunch and later go for your even guided nature walk Nature Walks. Lake Mburo national park is the best place for a guided nature walk and it can be done from any area of the park because is free of predators like lions and others so, during your guided nature walk tour, you will meet a variety of both wildlife mammals and birds such as Zebras, Impalas, Elands, Warthogs and many others including different bird species and your guide will be able to give you information about everything that you will encounter which will make your walk so exciting. Go back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight

Day 3; Lake Mburo National Park – Morning game drive – Afternoon boat cruise – Night game drive

Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and later go for your early morning game to encounter wildlife species in Lake Mburo national park. This park is highly dominated by herbivorous mammals such as Zebras, the sky Eland, Impala, Giraffes, Warthogs, Buffaloes and on lucky day, you will meet Leopards and hyenas and many others including variety of bird species. Have a short break to relax, have lunch and later go for your afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. In the course of your boat cruising safari, you will have opportunities to meet a number of aquatic wildlife species such as hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, many bird species and other mammals lick waterbucks, reedbucks as they have to swim and to drink water. After your boat cruising safari, return to your lodge to relax and later go for your adventurous night game drive. This park is one of the best parks where you can do a successful night game drive and you will have an opportunity to encounter a variety of mammals that you would not be able to see during morning and evening game drives such as Genet cats, Bush pigs, White tailed mongoose, Leopards, spotted hyenas and African rock pythons and there are higher chances of meeting them hunting which is an unusual wildlife experience.

Day 4; Lake Mburo National park – Morning horseback riding – Return to Entebbe international airport /Kampala City

Today in the morning have simple breakfast and go for your morning horseback riding safari. In Uganda, Lake Mburo National park is the only place where horseback riding can be done. Horseback riding in the wilderness is one of the most exciting activity one can do for an unforgettable experience. It gives a great chance to be on a game drive without causing air or noise pollution and viewing some mammals such as the shy Elands and Zebras from a shorter distance as they are so curious to see their relatives without strips as them. After horseback riding safari, return to your lodge to have full breakfast and later embark on your return drive to Entebbe international airport for your return flight or to residence with stopover to have lunch en-route and this will be the end of your 4 Days Lake Mburo national park Uganda Safari
