3 Days Fly-in Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park

This 3 days fly-in Uganda Safari to Kidepo valley national park will take you to North Eastern part of Uganda in Karamoja region where the park is found. Kidepo valley national park is a home base to over 80 mammal species with some of them only found in this park like Maneless Zebras, Cheetahs, Wild dogs, Aardwolf and Caracal and other mammals such as Elephants, Rothschild giraffes, Jackal, Klipspringer, Spotted hyena, Bat-eared fox, Leopards and Lions, many antelope species such as Bohor reed buck, Bush duskier, Bush buck, Eland, Defassa water buck, Jackson’s hartebeest and Kudu. The park is has a recorded number of 475 bird species and some of them are endemic to this park such as the giant flightless Ostriches,  and about 56 raptors like Tawny eagle, pygmy falcon, secretary bird, vultures.

Day 1; Pick up from your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe airport – Fly to Kidepo valley national park – Evening game drive

After having your early morning breakfast or on your arrival at Entebbe international airport you, will meet our company representative who will be waiting for to be briefed about your 3 Days Fly-in Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park and then drive you to either Kajjansi airstrip to have a private charter from Kampala executive aviation or Entebbe International Airport for a scheduled flight with Aero link  that run on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday to Kidepo Valley National Park (Apoka airstrip) departing at 12:30 hours arriving at 14:45 hours. On your arrival at Apoka airstrip in Kidepo valley national park, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative that will be your driver guide and drive you to your booked lodge for checking in, be briefed about your itinerary, have lunch and relax. Later, in the evening, go for your evening game drive to explore the park’s exciting sceneries comprising of the magical Narus Valley, searching for the wildlife including both big and small mammals, where like the herds of Cape Buffaloes, African huge Elephants, Rothschild giraffes, Zebras numerous antelope species like Klipspringer, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Eland, Reedbucks, Bushbucks, many predators such as Lions, black-backed jackals, Leopards, and the bat-eared fox. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2; Kidepo valley National Park – Morning game drive – Evening Manyatta Community tour

After having your morning heavy breakfast, leave the lodge and go for a thrilling Kidepo valley national park morning game drive to discover the lovely views of the sun rising in skies, the Lotukei Mountains the hills of Lomej, to the north close to the Sudan border. Your extensive game will let you exploring Kidepo valley national park in depth and seeing different wildlife species even those you that could have been missed during your first game drive like the Burchell’s Zebra, Elephants, Caped Buffaloes, Side stripped Jackals, the Eland and more emphasis will be at searching for the big cats and predators of the park such as the Cheetahs, the Leopards, fearless leopards, Spotted hyenas and many others so, you may have a chance to enter all the four members of the big five family in this park. After wonderful game driver, return to your lodge to have refreshments, lunch and then visit the Manyatta communities of the Karamojong tribe which are known to be the warrior pastoralists with a rich cultural heritage. So, your visit to the Manyatta communities, will expose you to numerous African cultural practice, arts and crafts, traditional farming, interesting stories about their life style and cultural dances by the groups of women that will make it a life time experience with still bush people. Day 3; Kidepo valley national park – Morning game drive – fly back to Entebbe

Rise up early in the morning to enjoy your fantastic breakfast and go for another morning game drive to look for more wildlife species basically those you might have missed in the earlier game drives and sighting bird species such as ostriches and others that are unique to this park such as Yellow-necked Spur fowl, Black-breasted Barbet, Karamoja Apalis, Superb Starling. Ethiopian Swallow, shooting more photos. Retire from your game drive, have lunch, pick all your belongs to check out and then then drive to Apoka Airstrip for the return flight departure back to Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airstrip and this will be the end of your 3 Days Fly-in Uganda Safari to Kidepo Valley National Park.
