2 Days Big five Uganda safari

This 2 days big five Uganda safari will take you to Murchison Falls National Park to search for the four members of the African big five members and other wildlife species both birds and mammals during your early morning game drive, afternoon boat launch on the river Nile to explore numerous water wildlife and seeing the bottom of the falls and evening hiking to view the mighty Murchison falls. Murchison falls national park is a home to over 76 mammal species and about 451 bird species.  After Murchison falls national park, visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary the only place where you can encounter the white rhino in the wilderness for white rhino tracking experience. White rhinos are one of the Africa savannah big five members.

Day 1; Pick up from Entebbe airport / Kampala city – Transfer to Murchison national park – Afternoon boat cruise –Hiking to the top of the falls

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport or after your early morning breakfast, you will meet our company representative who will be your driver guide for a briefing about your 2 days big five Uganda safari and then start your drive to Murchison falls national. On your arrival at Murchison falls national park, you will have refreshments, lunch and go for your 2 hour afternoon boat launch trip on the River Nile. During your afternoon boat launch trip, you will be able to watch some aquatic wildlife such as; the huge Nile crocodiles, many hippopotamuses, many water birds such as the rare shoebill stork, African fishing eagles, African skimmers, different species of kingfishers also you may have a chance to see other land mammals like waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Elephants, Caped buffaloes and others when they have come to drink water and swimming. The boat cruise will take you few meters to the Murchison falls which will give you the amazing view of the falls. After your boat cruise trip, start your evening hiking to the top of the falls to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Murchison falls as the River Nile is squeezing through the narrow gorge of about 7 meters wide and dropping 43 meters creating the thunderous roar sound and rainbow formed by millions of tiny water droplets as the river is struggling to pass through the rocky tiny gorge and spray in the air in form of mist where they combine with sunlight and form the magical rainbow that can be seen in the evening hours. Thereafter hiking to the top of the falls, go and check in at your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 2; Murchison falls national park – Morning game drive – Visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary for the white experience – Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After your early morning heavy breakfast, check out and for your early morning game drive. Your driver guide will help you to spot numerous mammals and bird species such as Elephants, Caped buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, Jackson hartebeest, Waterbucks, oribis, spotted hyenas, Lions, Reedbuck, Bushbucks, if it is a lucky day, you may spot the shy leopard and many other mammals because this park is a home to over 76 both big and small mammals. After your morning game drive, leave the park and drive to ziwa Rhino sanctuary. On your arrival at Ziwa rhino sanctuary, you will have refreshments, lunch and later be briefed about dos and don’ts to follow during rhino tracking by the local site guide and later start your guide walk to meet rhinos. When you meet rhinos, your guide will give much information about rhinos, the place and you will have an opportunity to see them close from the feet and the guidance of your guide. You will be have a maximum of 1 hour of watching them, taking photos and asking questions about them. After spending an hour with rhinos, return to the information center to have refreshments and then embark on your road drive back to Kampala or Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight and this will be the end of your 2 days big five Uganda safari with an unforgettable wildlife experience.
