The four uncommon Kenya lakes

The four uncommon Kenya lakes

The four uncommon Kenya lakes

Kenya is surrounded by water, notably a section of the Indian Ocean that runs along the majority of the country’s southern border but also has the four uncommon lakes. Lakes, rivers, and dams are among the several types of water bodies found in the United States. Lake Nakuru, Lake Bogoria, Lake Baringo, and Lake Victoria are just a few of Kenya’s well-known lakes. However, the following are the four uncommon Kenya lakes;

Logipi Lake  in Kenya

In the north of Kenya, you’ll discover extraordinary natural wonders that look as oasis in the midst of lunar and stunning emptiness, surrounded by incredible creatures and colors.one such treasure is Lake Logipi. It is a minor lake in the northern Rift Valley, located at the northern end of the arid Suguta Valley, one of the world’s hottest places, nicknamed “The Valley of Death,” where massive granite rocks perch atop piles of volcanic ash, deep gorges of layered rock give way to kilometers and kilometers of sand dunes created by relentless winds that whip through the valley. It is separated from Lake Turkana by ‘The Barrier,’ a collection of young volcanic mountains that last erupted in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is about six kilometers broad and three kilometers long, with a maximum depth of five meters. Many safari organizations provide helicopter or light plane tours coupled with an investigation of the Suguta Valley and its surprising and perplexing views, and flying over this little jewel nestled in one of Kenya’s most hostile areas is a stunning and unique experience.

Lake Solai

Lake Solai, a rare salt-water lake in Nakuru County, is another salt-water lake. It is known to house newly introduced fish into the seas. Lake Solai is a beautiful area for a day picnic, boat trips, and hiking. It’s also an excellent place to go if you want to take images in a less modified scene.

The Uncommon Lake Kenyatta

Lake Kenyatta is located in Mpeketoni Lamu and is named after Kenya’s first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. The freshwater lake had been on the verge of emptying out owing to drought and siltation, but has lately been restored to its former glory. It serves as a source of water for both the animals and the people that live nearby. Hippos, gazelles, and buffalos are among the creatures that may be seen in and around the lake. The lake is also home to a large number of birds, which you may enjoy observing and photographing.

Lake Ellis in Kenya

This located on the eastern side of Mount Kenya with its highest point accessible by automobile. In the middle of the mount’s region’s typical rocks and valleys, it’s a pleasant sight. The lake has been described as’magical’ and ‘something out of a fairytale’ by several who have seen it. Picnicking, camping, photography, and nature walks are all popular activities around Lake Ellis. A freshwater lake, Lake Ellis is located.
