To encourage and regulate forestry growth within the protection area.

The establishment of branches either within the United States of America or abroad.

By agreement, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area may acquire interests in companies and firms engaged in activities that the Ngorongoro Conservation Area may legitimately engage in under this act, or the continuance of such companies and firms’ activity.
The authority has also established some important guidelines for multiple land use. The area’s philosophy is to maintain a positive relationship between humans and wildlife in a natural and traditional setting at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Maasai people are pastoralists who also conduct some small-scale farming, all of which rely on natural resources for existence, making local participation in resource conservation, particularly in water pools where both wildlife and humans obtain their water, extremely vital. The Authority has played a critical role in the conservation and protection of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Africa’s sole protected area where wildlife and humans coexist peacefully and effectively share resources.
