Getting to Tarangire National Park

Getting to Tarangire National Park: Visitors interested in exploring the Tarangire National Park can reach here through two main means, and these include national road transport or air transport, which are both very interesting and wonderful.

Accessing the Tarangire national park by air can be achieved by flying to the Kilimanjaro international airport, and this is the best option for accessing the Tarangire national park. This is found within 46 kilos of Arusha. Another possibility is for you to fly to Julius Nyerere International Airport, which is near Dar es Salaam, and then arrange for a direct flight to take you to Arusha Airport. For visitors who are interested in having a cheap flight, they can as well fly to Nairobi, Kenya, and later move to continue with one of the buses between Arusha and Nairobi. You will be able to get to Arusha in the late afternoon if you use our afternoon pickup. On our African adventure vacations, you will be picked up from the airport and driven to Tarangire National Park. In most cases, the accommodation and transportation are arranged by the tour operator, and this is a very interesting experience.

Visitors will also be able to use the chartered flights from Arusha to Sibigeti and then, finally, to Tarangire National Park. From the Arush entrance gate, you will have a comfortable safari drive and it will take you about two hours, which is about seven kilometers on the non-tarred road. It is very easy to drive from Tarangire National Park to the neighboring Ngorongoro Conservation Area from Lake Manyara National Park, which is very interesting and wonderful.

Tarangire is a park in northern Tanzania that is characterized as a more sporadic park. There is a lot of transient movement within the Greater Tarangire ecosystem. During the dry season, between June and October, large herds of animals are drawn to the Tarangire River. The elephant population is also astounding right now. Tarangire is the least visited of Tanzania’s parks in the north, but it retains the authentic character of undiscovered Africa in the recreation area’s southern section. Tarangire National Park, which covers an area of 2,600 square kilometers, is located a short distance south-east of Lake Manyara National Park. It has an uneven landscape with diverse Baobab trees, thick shrubberies, and long grass.
