5 Days Bwindi and Kibale Forest National Park: Our day Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee safari, gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking is best experienced in Bwindi impenetrable national park and kibale forest national park that all lies in western Uganda. So, we suggest that you will be picked from your guest house in Kampala/Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest park for gorilla trekking activity and from there you will connect to kibale forest national park for chimpanzee trekking and bigodi community walk where you will be able to spot some other animals and birds.

Detailed safari itinerary

Day 1; pickup from the guest house in Kampala/Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

 After an early breakfast, our guide will come to pick you up from hotel guest house in Kampala/Entebbe have a short briefing about the entire 5-day trip and then en-route stops you will be making during your way to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The early morning drive is to enable us reach the destination early as well as to overcome the heavy traffic jam.

We will have a stop at the equator on our way to bwindi impenetrable national park for stretching and photography. stand between the imaginary lines crossing the world, visit the nearby craft shops and one can buy something for memories of the trip, the we head to mbarara town suited in western region well known for cattle keeping and banana plantations as we are proceeding to bwindi forest.

After reaching to bwindi national forest, have a check-in at your reserved lodge and then have a rest as you are waiting for your dinner.

Day 2; Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early cup of coffee, you will meet your guide and drive to the park headquarters and meet other travelers for briefing a t 7:30 about the dos and don’ts in the forest when you meet the gorillas. Then from there meet the game ranger to guide you and provide security to you and start off the hike which will take about 30 minutes to three quarters of the day depending where the gorilla is habited

 While trekking, you will get an opportunity of seeing different types of tree species, bird species and primates like black and white colobus monkeys, mammals and many more, to make your trek successful you are advised to have a walking stick and a minimum level of fitness to enable you walk in this muddy steep slopes of the forest.

Once you meet our close relatives of gorilla, you are given an hour to be in meters with the gorilla for photo shots as you are listening to informative talk from the guide. Then after the trek, have lunch in jungle to celebrate a successful gorilla experience you will be awarded with a gorilla certificate.

Day 3: Depart to kibale forest national park.

After a morning cup of coffee. You will meet your guide once again and drive to fort portal town in southern Uganda with beautiful sceneries and green natural vegetation, check-in at the hotel, thereafter do the brief city tour overnight.

Drive time; approximately 6-7 hours’ drive.

Day 4. Chimpanzee tracking and bigodi wetland walk

Early morning breakfast. Then meet your guide and drive to kanyanchu the headquarter of the park to meet other visitors for a briefing about the dos and don’ts when you meet the chimpanzee.  You will be divided into groups of 6 people and with company of ranger’s guide, then start your chimpanzee tracking experience that takes an hour to 3 quarters of the day as the chimpanzee are wild animals and they are always on the move searching for food.

Once you meet the chimpanzee, you are given an hour to take photos and learn its habits when you are away meters from it, from chimpanzee tracking, you will have lunch at the lodge, relax and later in the evening go for a walk in bigodi wetland/swamps, an initiative started by the community with the aim of developing the community and all the yield from the walk are given back to the community.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe / Kampala.

After breakfast, bid farewell to your lodge and transfer back to Entebbe for your international flight back to home country.
