What makes Nile River a famous destination in Uganda?: The Nile River is the longest river in Africa and some sources show that it is the longest in the world too with approximated length of about 4,160 miles; (6,695 km). The Nile River originates from northern side of Lake Victoria in Uganda stretching from the north end of Lake Victoria through different parts of Uganda. Its drainage basin covers 11 countries that is Uganda, DR. Congo, Burundi, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and Egypt. People visiting Uganda are excited about the Nile River and it is always their wish to visit this great and historical river to witness its beauty and also to experience the great adventures on the Nile River. The Nile River in Uganda is mainly located in jinja city in eastern part of Uganda on the north shores of Lake Victoria and its source is towards the north end of Lake Victoria. The Nile River is more spread in jinja city which makes it possible to enjoy several activities on the Nile in this city compared to others parts in the country. Jinja city is about 81 km by road from Kampala the capital of Uganda which is roughly 2 to 3 hours’ drive. White-water rafting on River Nile: White-water rafting is an amazing rash activity on Nile River where you face high rapid water waves of the Nile in an exciting thrill. White water rafting on the Nile takes places from grade 3 up to grade 5 rapids. Grade 3 is the softest and 5 is the hardest so if you are to participate in this grade you should be aware. When carrying out this activity you also get an opportunity to experience and enjoy the beauty surrounding the Nile and if when the water is calm you can swim as well. The activity normally takes all day and only 8 years and above are allowed to patriciate in this activity.

Viewing on the source of the Nile: The source of the Nile is located on north end of Lake Victoria and it is every one wish who travel to the Nile River to visit it. Viewing the source of nile requires one stand at the shores of Lake Victoria and have a clear view of the source or hiring boat ride to see and explore the starting point of the Nile River. This is such an amazing moment to people who visit the place and always celebrate it for many years.
