From the Kikelewa cave to the Mawenzi tarn, on to the Kibo hut, up to the Uhuru peak, then back down to the Horombo hut, and finally ending at the Marangu gate.

Another trekking option to climb Mount Kilimanjaro is the Machame path, which requires roughly 7 days of climbing over this lovely terrain. Starting at Machame Gate on the southern slope of the mountain, this route leads to Machame Camp. The hike from Machame camp to Shira 2 camp, Shira 2 camp to Barranco camp, Barranco camp to Karanga camp, Karanga camp to Barafu camp, Uhuru peak, descent to Mweka camp, and completion at Mweka gate.

The Shira route is a trekking path that begins at Shira gate on Mount Kilimanjaro’s western side. The hike continues to Shira 2 camp, Barranco camp, Karanga camp, Barafu camp, Uhuru peak, then descends to Mweka camp before concluding at Mweka gate. This path and the Lemosho route are practically identical. The Umbwe path and the Mweka route are two more hiking routes on Mount Kilimanjaro.
