Traveling to Tanzania during the low season

Are you looking at traveling to Tanzania during the low season? We understand that most of the clients are very busy, especially when they want to go and enjoy the safari in Tanzania. However, if you are busy, you can as well decide to get off your busy schedule if you decide to travel to Tanzania during the high season of the northern hemisphere summer months or over the Christmas holidays. Some safaris always wonder when to travel to Tanzania for safaris, so today we will focus on traveling to Tanzania during the low season. It is good to travel to Tanzania during the low season, and this is one of the reasons why you should pack your items and come to Tanzania during the low season.

Firstly, the low season is associated with fewer travelers, and thus you will beat the crowds by simply traveling to Tanzania during the low season. Just you and the outdoors; endless horizons; immense grasslands; and watching elephants eat twigs for breakfast. Everyone enjoys safari in the same way that we do. The truth is that during the busy season, there will be more tourists and, consequently, more safari vehicles in the national parks. A thrilling sighting won’t be a secret for long before further vehicles show up. On the other hand, the low season will give you personal sightings and exclusive access to the game. If you don’t like eating your breakfast with other safari tourists and elephants, go on a safari in Tanzania during the shoulder seasons.

Secondly, the low season is associated with the lowest prices as compared to when traveling during the peak season. Due to fewer tourists from March through May and November, safari lodges and camps are less frequently occupied. And that’s when hotels reduce their prices or run offers. Service, amenities, and experience do not decrease as prices do. Instead of that, the employees will take extra care of you, stop for a chat, and go above and beyond. Your preferred sundowner location on the shared deck will be reserved for you the entire time.

Thirdly, the low season comes with beautiful and lush landscapes with evergreen cover. Fair enough, fewer people means less money spent. However, it will be terrible and rainy for the entire time. Not exactly! Due to the rainy season, the low season draws fewer tourists. It is also the green season, though. The dry steppe transforms into lush grass, and the light is amazing. Dark rain clouds make the ideal photo backdrop. In the woods, it frequently rains heavily, but it also frequently rains briefly. Rain clouds in the morning or an afternoon thunderstorm won’t last the entire day. Rains are frequently localized, so you might be fortunate enough to see them from a distance.

Lastly, it is only during the dry season that you will enjoy the calving season of the wildebeest animals. Many people go to Tanzania in the hopes of witnessing the Great Migration of countless zebras and wildebeest in the Serengeti. It is undeniable that around this time, the Serengeti or Kenya’s Masai Mara can grow quite crowded with tourists from around the world hoping to experience this amazing natural display.  But the beauty of nature never ends. Travel between January and February, off-migration season, to see the calving season. It’s not quite the low season. In the Southern Serengeti, hundreds of wildebeest give birth every day. Expect to see a lot of big cats and other predators prowling, drawn by the easy prey. Traveling to Tanzania during the off-season is also rewarding; therefore, contact Africa Adventure Vacations for the best safari experience.
